Sun Cat Skylights is pleased to introduce the NEW Garage Vent System!

Now you can vent your hot garage, using no electricity.  Here's how it works.  We install a 14" x 24" air vent in the lower part of the garage wall.  It's a metal louvered vent on the outside, and a wood framed opening on the inside.  This lets air into the garage.  The sliding door on the inside can be closed in the winter.  Next we install a 20" x 20" vent in the ceiling that lets the hot air go up into the attic.  There's a built-in damper, so it's approved for fire-rated ceilings.  An attractive white grill covers the opening.  To take the hot air out of the attic, we install a Solar Star, solar powered attic fan, with an extra solar panel to improve performance.  By circulating the air during the day, these three changes reduce the heat in the garage significantly. 

Installation takes 3-4 hours.  All work and products are warrantied for 5 years.  The cost of the Garage Vent System is $1250.00. 

To cool your garage even more, we can apply radiant barrier paint to the underside of the roof sheathing.  HeatBLOC-Ultra paint blocks 80% of the radiant heat coming through the roof.  This costs about $350 for a standard two car garage.
